Heritage No. 02 — Aerial Screw

Leonardo drew the aerial screw in a notebook around 1493. He didn't have the horsepower to lift it, or the materials to shape it, or a full understanding of the physics that would eventually let it work.

What he had was the idea — that a properly angled surface, spun fast enough, could bite air the way a screw bites wood. Four hundred and fifty years later, Igor Sikorsky proved him right.

The Aerial Screw tee prints da Vinci's original sketch in warm brown ink on garment-dyed cotton, complete with margin annotations in mirrored Italian script — the way Leonardo actually wrote them, right-to-left, because he was that kind of person. Front-chest carries the Cannibal Aviation mark, small and clean.
