Heritage No. 10 — Stick and Rudder
Wolfgang Langewiesche wrote the book in 1944. Every pilot who ever transitioned to tailwheel has been quoting from it ever since.
Stick and rudder isn't a technique. It's a philosophy — that the airplane doesn't fly you, you fly it, and if you can't tell the difference between what the ailerons do and what the rudder does at the top of a turn, you're not really a pilot yet. It's the difference between button-pushing and airmanship.
The Stick and Rudder tee prints a tailwheel trainer in a coordinated turn — feet visible on the rudder pedals — in warm rust and cream on garment-dyed cotton. For the pilots who still fly airplanes with their feet.
Printed on Comfort Colors 1717 — 6.1 oz garment-dyed 100% ring-spun cotton. Unisex relaxed fit. Pre-shrunk.
Where it belongs: Tailwheel endorsements. Backcountry airstrips. Every conversation about what it means to actually fly the airplane.
